We’re so excited….. in fact we are buzzing with pride and pleasure! Vita Nuova honey is available NOW!

We promise ours is a honey like no other, 100% pure, ultra clean, bursting with flavour and nutrients, raw (no heat treatment) and best of all, it supports our precious indigenous pollinators.

Our commitment to protect and support native pollinators and wild flowers

Vita Nuova is committed to supporting our vital pollinators. In Spring 2024 we partnered with François Holdrinet, an expert in the conservation of native bees, and “adopted” a hive of his indigenous bees. Our Vita Nuova hive is placed in an ideal location for the well-being of these precious pollinators – far from farms engaging in monoculture and the use of pesticides. Here our bees harvest the pollen and nectar from wild flowers, while pollinating our native flora and ensuring the seeds for a new generation of wild plants.

Supporting Bee Conservation:

This project operates on a non-profit basis, and every cent from your honey purchase goes directly into funding the acquisition of new hives and supporting indigenous pollinators. Together with us, you are ensuring the continuous support and growth of our native bee populations, securing a future for these essential pollinators.

Why Vita Nuova Honey is Bee-Friendly

🐝    Produced by native bees – our goal is to increase the numbers of local pollinators

🐝   Our bee hive is located far from intensive farming and pesticides – saves bees’ lives

🐝    No transhumance (not moving hives to pollinate fields of colza, sunflowers etc)

🐝    Our bees feed exclusively on their own honey – no sugar water, ever!

🐝  The rolling hills and primal forests of Vallerois Lorioz in Haute Saone (70), France is the perfect habitat for indigenous bees

Wildflower Nectar in a Jar – 5 more reasons to enjoy our honey

🐝  Created from the nectar and pollen of wild flowers and native trees

🐝  100% pure, ultra clean, and full of natural goodness

🐝   Unique & delicious – each 500g pot captures the wild flowers in season

🐝   Our honey is raw – no heat treatment – to preserve nutrient content and flavour

🐝   Zero additives: it crystalises naturally over time

Our honey is a healthy gift from nature – but quantities are limited!

The well-being of bees is our primary focus – in return François’ happy, healthy bees share some of their exquisite wildflower honey with us. But quantities are limited. This is because François only harvests what the bees don’t need to feed themselves. Our healthy bees never eat sugar water: in winter, during droughts, and when flowers are scarce, they consume their own honey. Surplus honey is harvested in Spring and Summer, each pot of raw honey captures the essence of wild flowers in season.

Three honey variants – each one different according to the wildflowers in season

This honey is the concentrated nectar of wild flowers and tree blossom – each spoonful contains the essence of hundreds of local wildflowers - full of nutrients, it also contains antioxidants, polyphenols, and has antibacterial properties . Savour the taste of nature preserved in a jar: 100% pure, ultra clean and raw (not heat-treated); it crystalizes naturally over time.

Spring Harvest: Our first honey harvest of the spring is a natural wildflower honey based on the nectar of dandelion, hawthorn, blackthorn, clover as well as other wild flowers which blossom in early spring. Pale in colour and floral in flavour, it is a mild, creamy honey that spreads easily and doesn’t run.

Late Spring: Our second harvest of 2024 took place in late spring. This new honey captures the full bouquet of spring wildflowers including clover and dogwood, backed by glorious notes of acacia. A clear, runny honey, delicate and subtle in flavour, pale yellow in colour, which will crystalise naturally over time.

Summer Harvest: July brings a profusion of yellow, purple and pink wildflowers, creating a darker honey that is especially rich in polyphenols. Intense and fruity in flavour, with notes of blackberry, trefoil, clover and lime tree blossom. Golden, luxuriant, generous – it’s the taste of high summer in a jar. It is runny honey, which will crystalise naturally over time.

Shipping: Please note there is no extra shipping cost - just add a pot of honey (or two!) to your next order, and pay nothing extra for transport. Within the EU, we have a single rate that is independent of weight or volume: you pay the same shipping rate for just one item or 20.

Thank you for supporting local pollinators to thrive!

500g net weight – please recycle the glass jar and metal lid
