What is Tribulus?

Tribulus Terrestris is a small leafy plant that has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. It grows in parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East and has been used for a variety of health benefits, including reducing blood sugar and cholesterol, altered hormone levels and reducing swelling.

Health Benefits:

Heart health

There are some studies that suggest tribulus could be beneficial for heart health and lowering blood sugar. One study concluded that women with type 2 diabetes experienced lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels when taking 1000mg of tribulus terrestris for three months. Other animal studies have also found some evidence that the plant help protect blood vessels from damage and help prevent increased blood cholesterol.

Sexual health

It has long been believed that tribulus acts as a natural aphrodisiac and has been shown to support sexual health in both men and women. Some research shows that men with reduced sex drives have seen an increase after consuming tribulus daily for two months. Another study of women with low libidos shows they also saw an increase in sexual desire after taking tribulus supplements for 90 days.
